A cool thing to spend time with a soldering iron ) I was missing one LED, so it’s not in the center of the photo. Also, one of the LEDs had the “+” and “-” reversed (meaning the long leg was for “-“), so check each LED – I did this with a cr2032 battery. Well, it was unclear where to connect the capacitor, so I did it as someone in the comments suggested here, although everything probably worked without the capacitor!

BOF, it only works halfway, you have to keep pressing the button to see the hourglass scroll. There is a capacitor, we don’t know where to put it, there’s no place for it on the PCB! Without a doubt, it needs to be connected to the power supply, but it still doesn’t work better.

Nice little soldering project. The leds are nice and bright and you get a spare one. Regaeding the capacitor: it is a tht kind and there are no holes for it, but pads. I bent the legs so it would fit. You can however solder the capacitor to the back of the board across the power supply.
