“great display for esp32. Works perfectly with u8g2 library using software i2c. I2c address was 0x3f. Needs u8g2_st7567_enh_dg128064i_f_sw_i2c constructor. Set contrast between 160–255. Very sharp and clear output. Recommended!”

It’s a display, and it works as intended. For that i give 5/5. On top of that seller refunded the faulty unit with no problems.
However, beware of st7567s driver, which is sometimes hard to work with. It updates relatively slowly and with holgerlembke/st7567sfgk library really likes to freeze. With u8g2/u8x8 it seems to work fine, just don’t forget set adress like this:

If your i2c scanner found device at 0x3f.
Appearance wise, backlight makes "black" screen look more like dark blue/purple in most of lightings. On a sunny day outside it looks somewhat black.
In summary, you can absolutely make it work, just keep downsides in mind.

Doesn’t work and lacks documentation

Very fast dispatch and prompt delivery. Very well packed (bag with padding on the pins, pouch) and arrived safely. Board looks clean and well made. Unit does not have the problematic zener diodes. There are several arduino ide libraries available. The holgerlembke/st7567sfgk library is lightweight and works well without any changes (although you might want to fix some spelling) and the examples can be run even though they refer to an earlier version (eg ‘text’ instead of ‘print’). The display is crisp and bright. Contrast is software controlled. If hardware control of contrast is needed then a pot can be added at an analog port so the mcu can read the value and do the adjustment in software. This is not a display for high speed graphics, and the price is not as good as oled, but it is rugged and easily readable in bright sunlight. Recommended.
